DeWalts New Cobalt Bits

DeWalt has come out with new cobalt bulk bits for you working guys--they are available in fractional, number and letter sizes.  Currently only available in bulk--either 12 or 6 count depending on size.
Heres some info from DeWalt:

DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools and accessories, announces the launch of a new line of Industrial Cobalt Drill Bits. The new line (DD4004B12 – DD4426B6) has been designed for glaziers, electricians, elevator installers, HVAC, exterior metal and general contractors, in addition to tradesmen working in metal fabricating shops. This new product offering delivers unsurpassed performance in both drill presses and hand drill applications, and is ideal for drilling into stainless steel, high temperature alloys, high tensile materials, as well as all mild and medium gauge metals.

These drill bits feature a patent pending web taper design that offers increased strength, rigidity and breakage resistance. Additionally, the bits have an optimized 135-degree split point that allows them to start on contact and penetrate the material more quickly. For faster drilling and chip ejection, DEWALT's Industrial Cobalt Drill Bits also feature a unique, heavy-duty flute design, which produces faster chip ejection.

"DEWALT's new Industrial Cobalt Drill Bits were designed to provide professionals with products that deliver unparalleled jobsite performance," explained Scott Muhlbaier, Senior Product Manager for DEWALT. "We are confident that our new 144-SKU range will meet our customers' needs, including increased life, speed, durability, hole quality and re-sharpening capabilities."

The range of new bits, which includes jobber and screw machine lengths, has been engineered with increased Cobalt content (8%) for exceptional wear properties and longer life. Additionally, the new heat treatment process lends itself to extended life in both presses and drills.
